Dual Training Course

Booking Conditions 

I confirm that I am a current member of BHPA, and hold a valid third party liability insurance.

I confirm that I hold a current insurance policy to cover me in the event of an accident or injury to myself whilst attending this course. Such policy specifically includes the sport of paragliding. As such I hereby agree that Sky Summits Ltd or any of their employees shall in no way be held responsible for any medical/rescue expenses I may incur whilst attending the course.

As the pilot in charge I warrant that my equipment is good and serviceable and of sufficient standard to partake in this course. I am responsible for my own equipment, and will not hold Sky Summits Ltd or its employees liable in any way for any loss or damage to my equipment. 

I understand that I am ALWAYS the pilot in charge of my paraglider, and that I ALWAYS have the opportunity, based upon my level of skill, knowledge and understanding to choose to act on my own. I understand that the guidance given to me during this course is intended to be advisory, and not mandatory. I confirm that as a new dual pilot I will only operate within my current skill set, exercising great caution when flying dual with any new equipment and passenger.

I confirm that I have refrained from all substance abuse including drugs and alcohol at least 12hrs prior to the course.

Paragliding is a form of aviation with all of the inherent and potential dangers that are involved in aviation. No form of aviation is without risk, and injuries and death do occur in paragliding, even to trained pilots using proper equipment. Whilst SKY SUMMITS LTD. endeavours to minimise this risk as far as is reasonably practicable, it cannot be eliminated altogether. No one should participate in paragliding who does not recognise and wish to personally assume the associated risks.

I hereby fully and forever discharge and release Sky Summits Ltd, it’s owners or directors, employees, instructors, equipment manufacturers, and owners of land used for paragliding activities from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of any damages, both in law and equity, in any way resulting from personal injuries, conscious suffering, death, or property damages sustained by me arising out of training, paraglider flights, or any other vehicle operation, parachute or otherwise, or any other device of the school while on the ground or in flight, or while participating in any of the activities contemplated by this release. Exemption from liability includes loss, damage, or injury from negligence of the school or any other cause or causes.
